Amazing experience as first time home buyers

I just want to start off by saying that Meg and everyone at United Home Loans are amazing. I first contact Meg over a year and half ago before my wife and I moved to the house we rented right before purchasing our home. We were unsure if we would be able to qualify for a mortgage given our situation at the time, and Meg was extremely helpful in helping gauge what would be necessary to make that happen. She told us that if we wanted to apply and attempt to start looking for a house we could, but there were several things that we could do to improve our situation and make things easier on ourselves. We ultimately decided to wait and contacted her approx. a year later. Fast forward to around 5 months ago when I contacted Meg again to start the process of applying for our home. She immediately remembered us and after providing updated financial info (we were able to improve our situation and save some money in the year we were renting) she was able to give us a price range that we could begin to shop in. Although I have a full time job, we were initially unsure if we would be able to include my wife, who is an independent contractor, on our mortgage. That involved getting a lot of documents to them, so I became quite familiar with their document upload portal which is extremely easy to use and saved a lot of time. We placed offers on several houses, and each time I was able to contact Meg and within an hour or so get a pre-approval letter to provide the prospective sellers. Several times it was on the weekend, once later in the day on a Sunday, she just really went above and beyond to make herself available and provide us with any help we needed. Going in to the process my wife and I were essentially clueless as to what went into purchasing a home. I really learned a lot from UHL and couldn't be happier with the services they provided. On top of it all, I'm sure we were far from the most profitable loan they had worked on. Our house was sub 200k and we went with an FHA loan but they treated us like we were buying a million dollar house. A home is one of the most important purchases a person will make and the help Meg, Christine, Jeff and everyone at United Home Loans provided was invaluable. I will definitely recommend them to any friends or family looking to purchase or refinance a home, and my wife and I will absolutely use them in the future!
